La La Time

Our La La Time music class ended last week with two classes - one on the usual Wednesday meeting time and an additional class on Friday to make up for the week we canceled due to hurricane Sandy.  Hosting the class at our house has kept me busy (partly why I have been behind on posting last week) but it was lots of fun and nice not to have to drive the boys anywhere this go 'round.  I'm so proud of the boys in how much they have improved their social / group instruction skills during this 6 weeks!!  They have become very good at staying seated on their mats during "demonstration" time, calling out answers when Ms. Lolly asks the group questions, and excellent helpers during the clean up between activities!  Ryan and I have even noticed how much better the boys have become at cleaning up their room before we leave for downstairs or before bed recently.  Major leaps and bounds compared to the first time we participated in this class in the fall, and they would jump up and practically throw themselves at Ms. Lolly when she pulled out a toy car or animal to demonstrate...or suddenly decide to leave the group and go running off to explore the host's kitchen and dining room.  Overall the class has been wonderful and lots of fun meeting new friends!
