Not sure how many more days we'll see these boys in their famous triple wagon. It seems like only yesterday when they were babies and a wagon ride was a big event for the day; my phone was filled with nothing but pictures of them in this thing. Now they're a lot heavier (easily making it a 100+ lb train) and more interested in riding bikes and playing in the yard.

Spencie's 3!!!
Even though we celebrated Spencie's 3rd birthday with the twins at Sport Bounce in February, we still had a special day for him on his real birthday. The night before, we gave the boys 3 new instruments and in the morning, Owen and Oliver were very excited to serenade Spencer with Happy Birthday. It was so funny how Spencer immediately jumped out of him bed and joined the band! It was a swim lesson day, so we opened a couple little gifts at breakfast before heading to the pool. Spencie was really excited to get a little Octonauts toy and some Paw Patrol underwear. All of the boys were happy to show Mommy and Daddy that they could blow dry their own hair for the first time! After dinner we had some cake, and did one round of Happy Birthday on our instruments and another singing. I love that in some of the birthday cake pictures you can see Spencie's favorite little pink and white cat "Meow Meow" right by his side.
Timber!
The boys loved watching the dead trees being taken down in our yard. They had a lot of questions, and we all agreed that the man climbing the tree was very brave! The first tree came down on a Friday morning that we were home and playing outside. We stood well more than a safe distance away, but if Oliver or Spencer even toed the imaginary line I told them not to cross, Owen would scream in panic and tell me they were getting too close. The second tree was taken down during nap time and while Oliver and Spencer slept through it, Owen was caught peeking out the window the entire time. As with the "stepping stones" in the side yard, we now also have another natural play structure, or mountain I should say, in the front yard. The boys spend a lot of time climbing log mountain and just hanging out together at the top. Daddy has a lot of ideas brewing for a tree house this summer...

3 Little Leprechauns
On St. Patricks Day the boys learned about Leprechauns visiting little boys' homes and changing things green at preschool. Sure enough, one visited our house and changed their milk green, the potty green, and messed up the roll of toilet paper in their bathroom! The shock and curiosity on their faces was priceless when they saw the green potty. They began cautiously searching the house for a Leprechaun! In the afternoon, we played outside on the sections of tree trunk Daddy arranged nicely in the yard. We had a couple huge, dead trees removed and the wood has made some fun, natural play structures. They can even all fit on the same piece at once!

Nemo Birthday Party!
Last Saturday we celebrated all 3 of the boys' birthdays with a party at one of their favorite places, Sport Bounce! They have been asking if we could have their party there and talking about what kind of cake they want for a long time! In case you didn't know, the cake is very important to 3 and 4 year olds - theme, shape, color, flavor...every aspect of it! And I have to say, their cake this year was awesome!! After much debate, we all agreed on a Nemo cake. They wanted all different types of characters on their cake - Owen wanted a Lightning McQueen, Oliver wanted a fire truck, and Spencer wanted a Percy Train and a "Meow Meow". Hmm, that would have been one strange looking cake. But since they are crazy about Nemo, and play with their "Little Squeakies" everyday, they cycled through many different character requests and came full circle back to their favorite, Nemo. It was a pretty tall cake - top half was vanilla and the bottom was chocolate. I found the idea for the shape on Pinterest and a bakery that could easily replicate the picture, and the boys just lit up when they saw it! You better believe I took a ton of pictures of that cake. Heck - I was way more excited about the Nemo cake than my wedding cake (how's that for things you never imagine yourself saying)! The boys had a blast bouncing with their preschool and neighborhood friends, followed by pictures on the "big red inflatable" chair, and finally pizza and the delicious cake! I lost count of how many servings of cake Oliver had; and the party assistant commented on how adults were going back for seconds, something they rarely see! What a fun day!!
