Colorful Snowman

Last Friday we had some fun in the snow with spray bottles filled with water and food coloring.  The boys wanted to build another snowman and decorate him with color.  After a few days in the sun, the snow was much harder to form into balls.  But the real fun was in spraying the snow with the water colors.  Oliver was determined to put his sneakers down in front so the snowman could have shoes.  Instead of butterscotch chips, this time we used pieces of coal from inside the fireplace and this looked a lot better for the eyes, mouth, and buttons.  After the snowman was done, we still had enough energy to get in a few runs on the sledding hill before going in for soup and hot chocolate!
