Halloween Part II

On Halloween day the boys started out dressed in their University of Rochester "scrubs" and Spencie as a cow.  We had fun playing with Elmo Halloween cards from Nana during breakfast.  In the afternoon we decorated a pumpkin with some Halloween stickers and the twins got spider tattoos in their arms.  Oliver wanted to wear his Tiger pants after his nap, and so I thought I'd try on his bright orange pumpkin costume with the pants, and it still fit!  That was what he wore last year and what Spencer wore later that evening when we went out.

When Ryan came home we pulled the boys around the neighborhood in their wagon, and they caught on to the whole trick-or-treating concept very quickly!  At first Owen would try and take candy from his bucket and place it back into the bowl of the person handing out candy, or make a trade for a different piece.  They were just excited to reach into the bowls to pick a shiny wrapped up object, even though they had no idea what it was...and most houses encouraged the boys to take several pieces since our neighborhood doesn't get many trick-or-treaters.  They loved visiting the houses with dogs who came to say hello at the door, and were polite and said "thank you" when we left.  We were all very tired when we made it back home, especially Spencer who couldn't stay awake the whole time!
