Crafts and Leaves

Wednesday I took the boys to a craft class at the Sterling Community Center.  They each made a cute Thanksgiving turkey and had too much fun going crazy with the glue in the process.  Guess it makes things a little easier when it's someone else's glue and job to clean up!  There was a Thanksgiving story before the end of class and then we headed outside to the playground.  This playground is surrounded by a big park area with lots of trees, which meant lots of leaves to run around and play in with all the other kids!  I think it was something about the breezy day and noise from all the kids running and squealing in the leaves that really got the boys into it; they were truly having a blast in those leaves!!  And there was a school bus sighting, which put a halt on everything for a moment.  During nap time later that afternoon I was in a rare mood to try a new cookie recipe... for orange pumpkin cookies.  They came out really good and satisfied my craving for something pumpkin and sweet!
