Making Banana Bread

After lunch today the boys helped me make some home made banana bread!  They did a really great job of adding ingredients and carefully mixing.  Each time I'd announce a new ingredient to add or item to mix (who wants to add the flour or who wants to stir the eggs and butter), they'd jump up and down shouting, "I want to do it!"  They passed the two different bowls I was using to each other so they could each mixing.  It was funny that they insisted on standing on the same chair.  Spencer came and went - did a little mixing and then decided it would be more fun to put some cherry tomatoes he found on the counter into the toaster oven?  But he made sure to do his share of the tasting after the bread was all baked and ready to eat after their nap!  They were all so excited to come downstairs and taste the fruits of their labor...making the snack a little more delicious than on your average day!
