American History Museum

Friday afternoon we decided to meetup with Daddy in DC at the American History Museum.  I love when we can do activities like these on weekdays because there are rarely any crowds.  The boys were so excited about all the train exhibits, and weren't  sure at first when we heard the whistle blowing if the trains would run us over!  When some of the realistic sound effects started playing, Spencer and Oliver bolted out of the way and to the safety of the windows!  Their favorite part of the museum was riding the metro exhibit that made you feel like you were sitting on a real, moving metro train.  We "rode" that several times.  We also went on a simulator ride and watched a robot alien cartoon.  Oliver thought it was a little scary, but was happy in the end because he got to ride in the big moving machine!
