Bye Bye Megan :(

Last week, after 14 wonderful months, our awesome nanny Megan had to return back home to Utah :(  She came to live with us when the twins were just 4 months old, in June 2011, and quickly became such a big part of our family!  She mastered the art of taking care of two babies alone when I returned to work last summer, and also stepped right in and was a huge help all throughout my pregnancy with baby Spencer and when he arrived.  Who else could we have relied upon to take care of the boys at a moment's notice, in the middle of the night, when we rushed off to the hospital this past March!?  For over a year she kept a log of everything they ate, drank, times they slept, and time of day they even pooped!  This has already proven fun to look back on.  We never could have hoped for such a genuine, kind hearted, caring individual to take care of and love our boys during their first year of life!  We are happy Megan is continuing school and starting a new adventure in her life...but miss her so very much already :(  I am sure our paths will cross again one day. Ski trip to Utah anyone?!

And Megan with baby Spencer the day we brought him home from the hospital!
Last night of fun... Megan and Katie were so kind and bought the boys a going away gift - a basketball hoop!!

One last bit of fun.  Ryan and I were able to get a babysitter and take Megan and Katie out to dinner at P.F. Chang's their last Saturday night in Virginia, during which the topic of what the boys might be when they grow up was discussed.  This was what the girls told us, and I thought it was so cute that I need to document it here and check back when the boys are "grown up" to see how close they were!  Sorry boys, if you're reading this in the far off future and think we're all a little crazy!!
