Ah-ver

Spencie loves his big brothers, and has started saying Oliver's name frequently throughout the day.  He's picked up on Owen's pronunciation - "Ah-ver".  He'll crawl around looking for Oliver, or get excited before we go in to wake the boys up in the morning or after nap, and say his name.  He suddenly  has quite a few words at 11 months.  A lot more than the twins did at this age; they didn't really start talking like Spencer does until 12 months.  Hearing Spencie try and say all these cute things makes me remember how quickly the "first words" phase went by, and how soon after I stopped keeping track of all their new words.  So here is a snapshot of Spencie's current vocabulary:

Mama, Dada, Outside, Oscar, Apple, Ball, Oliver

I know he understands a lot more and is just trying to figure out how to make the sounds!  Just like the twins did, he makes vrrrmmm vrrrmmm sounds when playing with cars, and is starting to pick up on making animals sounds.
