Father's Day Boat 'n Blues

On Father's Day we brought a picnic to Lake Fairfax Park and took a ride on the tour boat around the lake.  I was once again reminded why I love where we live...another awesome park with fun activities less than 10 minutes from our house that we've just been too busy to visit!  Before heading to the boat area, Oliver and Spencer did some yoga in the shade.  I've been taking yoga classes lately, but they've been doing this entirely on their own for some time now!  The lake rents all kinds of sparkly paddle boats (literally, they were bright and sparkly!), but we decided to all ride the big boat together and save those for another day.  The boys were just as happy on the "motor boat".  There was a little sandy beach area where we watched a man operating a model airplane that could land on the water.  After we went home for naps, the fun continued at the village green Sunday night concert (we haven't missed one yet this summer!) featuring a blues band.  We had our usual pizza dinner on the blanket and then the boys ran around with all the other kids out in front of the band.
