Herndon Festival

Saturday night we took the boys to the Herndon Festival for a Ferris wheel ride after dinner.  It was pretty crowded and we had to wait at least 45 minutes to get a ride!  The boys waited in line so patiently; taken in by all the lights, sounds, and people watching.  But it was worth the wait and couldn't have been more perfect timing; right as we got on the Ferris wheel the festival fire works started and we were able to watch them during our entire ride all the way through to the finale!  After that we stayed for a couple more rides - helicopters and a carnival favorite from last year...the "dinosaur train" roller coaster!  Spencer was tall enough to ride it this year and was so excited to ride it.  And of course the shuttle bus we took to and from the festival was a big hit too :)
