Fun on the Farm

Thursday we visited one of our favorite places - Frying Pan Farm!  It's hard to believe, but I don't think we've been there yet this year.  There were lots of baby animals born in the spring and the boys enjoyed seeing all the little babies.  We started out with the usual tractor ride around the farm.  This year the boys are much more into paying attention and asking/answering questions.  They were really interested when the farmer pointed out the bee hives and mentioned snake sightings on the back woods part of the ride.  Afterward we rode the carousel, then walked over to play on the antique tractors and see the animals.  We saw the mommy and daddy peacocks (one of their favorite animals) and Owen got really nervous and started screaming every time Spencer put his fingers near the cage!  The mommy peacock was asleep in the corner under some trees and the boys accurately noted that it liked to sleep a lot just like their mommy!  They had fun in the barn picking out which baby piggies were the "Owen pig", "Oliver pig", and "Spencie pig".  Before we left, Oliver found a sheep laying right next to a rail they could easily reach through to pet him.  The boys were very gentle and that sheep was loving all the attention.

Stopping to pick some flowers for mommy
