Toddler Beds

We decided to convert the twins' cribs to toddler beds last Saturday.  They will be 3 and a half next month and would have happily kept sleeping in cribs until 4 or longer, but my back said it was time to stop lifting 30+ pound boys in and out of cribs several times a day (well, at least 2 of them)!  It's so funny how they all really enjoy sleeping in cribs!  Even in hotels they beg for us to get 3 cribs sent up to the room at night.  Owen and Oliver love their new big boy beds and I know Spencer wishes he could have his like that too...maybe later in the year, once he settles into the preschool routine.  The maturity factor in waiting this long has paid off though; they follow our instructions to stay in bed once we close their doors at night, stay put all night (knock on wood), and continue sleeping until our summer 9:00am wake up time.  They were all giddy with excitement sliding on and off the mattress by themselves for the first time, and jumping on the bed too of course!
