Our next experiment was something I saw on a Mama of Multiples Facebook page that looked like fun on a hot day. We took a bucket filled with water and dropped some plastic toys, corks, etc. inside and placed itin the freezer. The boys were very curious about what would happen to it and were excited later when we went to "check on it" and found all their toys stuck, frozen in a large ice cube! We brought the cube outside and they worked on getting the toys out with a hammer. This ice treasure activity was fun and easy, one that I think we'll be doing pretty often this summer!

Paint and Ice
We've been feeling crafty this week - I broke out the finger paints that I bought last summer. We had an old IKEA table that we don't use in our basement, so I've designated it the front yard craft and snack table for now. The boys went crazy for the different bottles of paint, something I should have seen coming after a similar experience with glitter glue. They wanted to squeeze each bottle and would have probably used up all the paint in one sitting had I not taken them back, only allowing little palettes of paint on the brown paper bag covering I put down. Next time I think I'll set out small cups or paper plates with color choices and keep the bottles hidden!
