Oliver and Striper

Our little Beanie Baby Tiger named Striper came off the shelf and back into play this week after "Dr. Dee" did some surgery and sewed him up.  Although Striper was originally claimed by Spencer, Oliver took immediate ownership of him (maybe because he's a tiger in recovery from an owie).  He's been taking Striper everywhere with him - around the house, on the car ride to preschool, and in his crib for naps and bedtime.  We don't normally let the boys take any of their stuffed animals outside in the yard, but since Striper was already in the car when we pulled in the driveway after preschool on Tuesday, I let Oliver play with him in the driveway after he promised to be careful not to drop him on the ground.  The boys were so intrigued by all the new possibilities of playing with a stuffed friend outside that Striper got the royal treatment getting rides up and down the driveway, in different positions, on one toy after another (Oliver in charge of course).  After naps, Striper and the boys went right back outside to try out the fire truck Grandbobby and Dee brought up from Dallas.  They carefully tucked him into the bucket at the end of the ladder and then went zooming up and down the driveway.  Oliver even let Owen have a turn pushing Striper and the truck all to himself!
