Fluddles

It rained really hard all day Wednesday, enough that made me think twice about leaving the house...but I had promised the boys a swim day and wanted to get out myself after staying home on Tuesday.  The boys put their red fire truck rain boots on and we all waddled together under one big umbrella like a mommy duck and her baby ducklings.  The usual route to the gym has a couple of one lane bridges and passes that I forgot about, until we had to slow down much further back than the yield sign and wait for a turn to forge the small river over the road.  The boys thought it was really exciting and kept asking for more floods and puddles.  It continued to pour down even harder the couple hours we were swimming (an emergency flood alert was announced) and it was fun watching the rain through the big windows in the pool.  After our swim, Owen wanted to know if we could go back through the "fluddles", but unfortunately I had to disappoint him and take a safer route home!

We had a great time swimming and the boys were super excited about finding a crate of diving rings, cups and other fun toys the lifeguards had left out.
