Spencer's First Slide

While in Dallas last weekend the boys enjoyed a warm day with their cousins at an awesome park just a few blocks down the street from Grandbobby and Dee's house.  Owen and Oliver loved being pulled in the wagon with Sarah, but were eager to jump out once we arrived at the playground and they saw all of the swings, slides, and fun things to climb on.  But I think the highlight of the trip was watching Spencer go down the slide by himself for the first time!!  He sat up at the top of a baby slide, teetering back and forth, looking at us with a questioning and unsure stare.  Then he decided to just lean forward and go for it as we held our arms out inviting him to come down.  I love the series of photos we captured because you can see the wheels turning in his head as he thinks about going down, and then the joyful thrill as he closes his eyes shut tight and takes the plunge!  And just like his big brothers, as soon as it was over he was itching to turn around and climb right back up and do it again.
