Time to clear out the Exersaucers and make way for more walking toys! Funny how short lived the Exersaucer stage is...in a way I'm glad because those things are big, bulky and take up a lot of space, but I'm also sad because baby Spencer is growing up so fast!! He uses just about anything he can get his hands on that will slide around the floor as a walker these days. While at Grandbobby and Dee's house he discovered he could push the small kid-sized chairs across the floor like a walker and now loves to use the ones we have here at home for that purpose. Sometimes he pushes the big boy's tricycles and that doesn't always end so well. We do have push toys intended for practicing walking, but I guess those aren't as appealing. Yesterday I got another one out of the basement that I thought he was ready for (it moves pretty fast), and boy did this thing cause some drama!! Owen and Oliver went crazy over it, barely giving Spencer a chance to even see what it was all about. Then they started fighting with each other over it and I had to take it away for the rest of the night. You would think the boys wouldn't be as interested in walker toys since they have been walking for almost a whole year now...but no, they LOVE pushing them all over the house. Poor Spencie can hardly get a turn to himself. Good thing he's a resourceful little guy and is good at finding alternative objects to get around.
