Bring on the Pumpkins

This morning was another gorgeous, fall day and I thought we'd kick-off October by spending the morning over at a nearby nursery that has a really nice display of pumpkins and Halloween stuff for kids to play on this time of year.  As I suspected, the place was setup beautifully with pumpkins atop bails of hay, a giant moon bounce, a "haunted" bus, and slides...and best of all, it was practically deserted on a Wednesday morning!  October weekends there are packed with families taking pictures among the pumpkins (I'm sure we'll come back on a weekend at least once too), but it was nice this morning to just relax, take some candid pictures of the boys having fun, and enjoy the place to ourselves!  I used one of the nursery's wagons available for transporting heavy loads to pull the boys around and let them each pick out a baby pumpkin.  After we paid for our pumpkins we went back out and took turns driving the black bus decorated with spider webs and ghosts.  The real attraction however was a pyramid made of hay stacks the boys could climb up and slide down inside a piece of huge black tubing.  Once Oliver set eyes on this structure, he immediately climbed up and slid down over and over again, followed closely behind by Spencer.  Owen was more suspect of the black tunnel and climbed up to the top a couple times, then called for me to come and carry him back down both times.  He was more into the moon bounce, also followed by Spencer who made sure to try a little bit of everything!  Watch out - I'm sure this month will be filled with many more pictures of the boys and pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins!!!
