Halloween Party!

Saturday was the annual twins club Halloween party and it was just as fabulous as last year's event!  The boys had an action packed morning, starting out with soccer and a birthday party in our neighborhood.  This birthday party was amazing - there was an indoor moon bounce and the boys were in heaven!  It was hard to convince them to come out of it, except for Oliver who jumped right out when I mentioned he could have a piece of cake.  The cake was such a big deal to him even before we left for the party; afraid that he'd jump up and grab the cake, I reinforced that it was Charlie's birthday cake and that maybe he could have a piece.  He kept mumbling to himself, "Charlie, may I please have a bite of your birthday cake?"  When the cake was served Oliver got to devour a big piece of chocolate, eating the blue fondant and all!

In order to make the Halloween party, we went home for a quick diaper change and partially got into costumes, hoping the boys would take a little nap on the car ride there.  They quickly fell asleep and when we arrived I took the opportunity to paint on their mouse noses and whiskers for the party while they were still sleeping!  They made a very cute Three Blind Mice trio - everybody was able to see how they run (in different directions!!) as soon as we let them loose inside the indoor field.  There was another moon bounce (Spencie couldn't get enough of it, even with all the bigger kids in there bouncing him around!), musical entertainment, a costume parade, arts and crafts, and a special glitter tattoo artist!  Oliver and Spencie picked out glitter tattoos (Oliver a blue bird and Spencie stars).  Needless to say, the boys were exhausted at the end of the day and we made a quick run for Chic-Fil-A to get them home and in bed as quickly as possible!!
