A Gem of a Gym!

Friday I took the boys to an indoor open gym playtime for toddlers that I've known about since the end of last winter, but never had the chance to try it out back then.  Once spring and summer hit, we started spending most of our time outside and I sort of forgot about it until we visited the swimming pool a couple weeks ago.  This "Lil Kid Playtime" is held on Fridays at the Claude Moore Rec Center (which I love so much) and it was much more than I expected.  For only $5 you can bring up to 4 kids and there are so many fun obstacles and inflatables for them to run around and play with in a big, open gymnasium!  One of the inflatables resembled a little kid version of something you might see on the show "Wipe Out" - where the kids have to climb into a tunnel, dodge blown up obstacles through the middle, scale a mini wall, and then exit on a slide.  Needless to say the boys loved it and we'll definitely be heading back as many Fridays as possible until the winter weather lets up a bit!  Although, Owen did let me know that the moon bounce with the stars wasn't big enough for him.  I think he's gotten so used to all the big, outdoor moon bounces we visited this fall and the gigantic ones at the Sports Bounce of Loudoun we went to over Thanksgiving that I now have a moon bounce snob on my hands :)
