Tree Picking Day
After our parade adventure on Black Friday, we stopped to pick out our Christmas tree. Last year Spencer was only 9 months old and not walking yet, so this was his first time to run around all the trees at the nursery. He found a couple laying horizontal on the ground and his first instinct was to climb on and try to ride them! When we went inside the shop to check out, there was a little Santa statue that Oliver was fascinated with, and went over to see the naughty and nice list it was holding. He tried to convince Santa that he was a nice boy by giving him a kiss! After dinner the boys got to help decorate the tree with a few plastic ornaments. They were obsessed with the 3 little plastic train ornaments I got for them, which I didn't think would be that big of a hit since they have tons of trains, and could not part with them on the tree. Instead, they pushed them all around the house and played with them on their train table with all their other toy trains. I still have yet to get the real treat out for them - the big choo choo train that goes under the tree. Oliver immediately recognized that this was missing and kept asking if I remembered that train from under the tree and when it would get here. What a good memory he has...maybe because it involves a train!
