Every year since the boys were born we've gone to the Reston Town Center parade on the day after Thanksgiving. This has been our 3rd parade now, and by far it was the coldest! We only caught the tail end of the parade, but the boys got to see Santa go by in his sleigh at the end. Oliver didn't like one of the big parade balloons that was shaped like an airplane with a face and covered his eyes as it went by. Later this weekend when he mentioned the Santa he saw in the sleigh, he asked if the airplane was all gone. We walked over to the ice skating rink afterward and the boys watched all the people skating in circles. Ryan lifted each of them over the side to see what the slippery ice felt like under their shoes. Spencie liked stomping on the little piles of snow and ice outside the rink.
