Colorful Zoo Crew

On Friday, I took the kids to the National Zoo with a friend.  We popped 2 of her car seats into our car and taxied five kids in the back seat into DC.  The weather was cool, overcast and perfect for being outside and doing a lot of walking.  It was the first time for us to visit the indoor elephant exhibit and many of the indoor small mammals.  The boys loved the sand cats and meerkats, calling, "Come out sand cat!" from behind the glass when the sand cats ran hiding at the sight of little people banging on the wall (reminded me of Geoffrey and Wesley).  We also spent a lot of time looking at the seals and sea lions, waiting for them to jump into the water and peak their noses back out.
