Reston Farmer's Market Fun

Last weekend we went to one of our favorite and most conveniently located pumpkin patches at the Reston Farmer's Market.  I think this one has the most unique and nicely displayed pumpkins in the area and its fun to see all the different shapes and colors.  There's a big train that zips around the pumpkins that the boys love and have to ride first thing when we visit.  They also like it because, unlike the mall train, they're allowed to ride without Mommy or Daddy on the train.  After the ride, the boys walked around "picking" pumpkins - a new sport that they don't really associate with "purchasing" pumpkins!  So we follow them around letting them pick and choose, and sometimes push and roll, then quickly put the pumpkins back as they move on to the next thing.  Owen, the pumpkin fanatic, however was more insistent.  I was afraid we were going to create a major scene after he filled an entire wagon full of miniature pumpkins and assured me that he was going to take them home (even after I explained that we were not for a good half hour or more).  Finally he negotiated 1 white pumpkin in exchange for putting the rest back.  I figured we didn't have a white one yet!  Another cool thing they got to try was an apple launcher.  After a few demos with Daddy they were able to launch apples on their own, and quickly discovered that three boys are stronger than one!
