Balancing Skills

This week the boys have been into the wooden balance beam connecting two trees in our front yard.  Until now they haven't shown much interest in it, but suddenly they have the need to master this new skill!  They're pretty good at walking along the plank, but oddly the rope used for balancing (put in by the previous owners) only goes about halfway across, so they want to hold our hand the rest of the way.  Another new balancing interest has been the monkey bar steps - I have no idea if that's what they're called - at the Great Falls playground.  Daddy met up with us there after work Wednesday night and the twins were very eager about learning how to use this piece of playground equipment that they've been too small for up until now.  After making it across with help from Daddy one time, they wanted to do it over and over, getting better each time.  Poor Spencer wanted so badly to try it too, but his legs are still too little to reach across those widely spaced out steps!
