Trips and Babies

It's been a busy past of couple weeks - the last weekend in June I went up to New York City with my friend Amy to attend a beautiful baby shower for our good friend from Colgate, Danielle, who is due in September.  It was lots of fun to see many of my good Colgate friends, including Christina who is also expecting in August!  Danielle is the first to have a girl though, so it was fun to watch her open cute, pink gifts :)  I also enjoyed spending time with Hela's little Leo and Erin's baby Connor...I hadn't seen them since they were only a few weeks old last fall!  After getting home very late Saturday night, I spent the next couple of days unpacking my things (easy) and repacking the whole family's things (not so easy) for a longer drive and stay in Rochester for the holiday.  While we were there I had the chance to meet up with my old friend Liz from high school and her adorable kids Connor and Ella down at Charlotte Beach on Lake Ontario.  The boys had their first taste of Mommy's favorite treat, Abbots frozen custard, and loved it (except Owen who still refuses to try ice cream)!  I think Spencer ate the most, and cried when it was all gone.  We were lucky enough to spend more time with Danielle and her husband Harsha since they had also made their way to Rochester for the holiday.  Spencer really took to D and we had to pry him away from her as they were leaving.  Maybe it was his way of calling dibs on the first Colgate baby girl :)
