National Harbor

Last weekend we made a spur of the moment decision to head down to the National Harbor in Maryland and check out the National Children's museum.  I hate to sound like a children's museum snob, but we've been to quite a few this year and this place did not impress either Ryan or myself at all.  It was just ok - enough to keep the boys engaged for an hour or two.  The best we've visited in my opinion were the ones in Baltimore and Rochester!  The real fun this particular day was in walking around the harbor and looking at the water and boats with the boys.  It was a perfect day with lots of interesting things to see and do in the harbor.  We came across a really great Thai restaurant for lunch (luckily I had packed PB&J sandwiches and juice boxes for the boys) and ate outside just across from a street performer who was pretty good on the saxophone.  Spencer was happy to watch and eat from his stroller (he was tired after all the playing and sun) and the boys sat and ate while listening to the music - no fussing during the whole meal!  All in all it was a nice summer day out and about.
