Potty Stuff
I ordered the boys first potty chair mid-June (a stand alone blue baby Bjorn potty chair) and they were very interested right away, both wanting to take turns sitting on it and shortly after, successfully doing a pee pee in it. I decided to just go with the flow and let them use it at their own desire and pace. Oliver has done great - regularly peeing in it and has even done about 3 or 4 poo poos. In the process, he's also become an M&M (or "emmy" as they call them) addict! Meanwhile, Owen suddenly decided he wants nothing to do with the potty himself, but is very supportive of Oliver's progress and achievements. After Oliver goes, Owen will shout out, "yay, Oliver did pee pee, Oliver gets an "M"! I was finally able to get Owen to agree to at least just getting back to sitting on it for a couple minutes for an M the other day, but boy was he quick to jump off. It's funny though, Oliver's efforts appear purely out of motivation for the M&Ms now, and I'm afraid our choice of reward may be a sugar overload I wasn't anticipating...one day he earned some 10+ M's! I swear he's figured out how to control his bladder enough to go at will, just enough to receive an M, every 30 minutes! He's even discovered reading while on the potty...and that's all I'll say about that, other than he doesn't get it from me :)
