Slip 'n Slide

On Monday I decided to try a small Slip 'n Slide with the boys (we also have a larger, more involved, 3-lane version - but that may need to wait for a day Daddy is home).  The boys didn't really get the concept of running and sliding; they were more interested in the mini-sprinkler shooting water along the side of the runway.  They kept walking up and down it, bumping into each other - slipping, falling and laughing.  I wasn't about to throw myself down and demonstrate the correct way to slip 'n slide, so I just let them do their own thing and have fun on it.  They certainly weren't happy when it was time to turn the hose off and the sprinklers stopped (the yard had gotten pretty wet and muddy by then)!  I lightened the mood back up with some of my homemade strawberry, banana, and honey popsicles.
