This past Mon through Wed we took a mini vacation to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster PA. This place was awesome and perfect for the boys ages (Spencer is 17 months and the twins just turned 2.5). The rides are mainly catered to toddlers and little kids and there were a lot of different things for all 3 of them to go on! Plus almost all of the rides had some form of an "adult seat" and allowed us to ride with the boys. Some of those rides made me and Ryan feel a little dizzy...like the Turtle Whirl! There was a jumping frog ride that Spencer wasn't big enough for (he was very upset about that, yelling "froggie, froggie!" from behind the gate) that was really fun! On the second day, we convinced the new operator to let him go on with me and he was so happy. We also took the twins separately on the mini wooden roller coaster and that had some big dips and fast turns. But the boys favorite ride was definitely the panda bears, which they rode over and over again. Owen took on the role as group representative, telling us "We want to go on panda bears!" at different points throughout the day. The ride was never full, so the the boys were able to stay in their seats and ride over and over. Oliver soon discovered that the noise buttons were different colors in some of the bears, and decided he wanted to switch bears every time the ride stopped. Another favorite was the monster trucks - the boys all rode each different color truck in all possible combinations. Oliver typically did not want to share any of his riding vehicles with anyone...he had to be in the front driving by himself! Owen was really funny on the frog hopper - the kiddie version of the power tower that drops you up and down from a tall tower. He wanted to ride it over and over and eventually was the only one on it. I went with him once and that little ride was fun! We also saw a really cool theatrical high dive show in the "aqua stadium" called Adventures of the Frog Prince.
