Figs!

It's that time of year again...actually it's a few weeks later than usual, and Oliver has been anxiously awaiting his figs!  We get a few ripe ones here and there toward the end of summer, but then there comes a week or so when we really get a good harvest.  This morning Oliver was circling the tree and I went over to see what he was looking at.  Sure enough there were ripe figs!  So we took them inside to wash off and then headed back out to snack in the beautiful weather.  How's that for a fresh, healthy, organic, delicious and free snack!!  I had to sneak Spencer some bites because Oliver was being overly protective of his bowl of treats.  Owen has not been brave enough to try one yet (surprise).
