This morning we all headed to Algonkian Park for Owen and Oliver's preschool family picnic. We hardly knew about this amazing regional park that's only about 10-15 minutes from our house. And to top things off, GFUMP put on an incredible picnic for all of the school's 2-4 year old classes and families. There was tons of great food, new friends, and a giant inflatable moon bounce and slide for the kids. The boys pretty much snacked and socialized all morning, until it was lunch time and they took a break from jumping to eat some more! Oliver loved the hot dogs so much that he couldn't get enough into his mouth fast enough! Spencer was probably the only 1 year old to hold his own in the moon bounce with all the bigger kids. When we were finally able to pull them all out to refuel with food and juice their cheeks were bright red! That moon bounce was probably like a big oven on a hot day, filled with little warm balls of energy. Before heading home the boys each got a bottle of bubbles, and in the end all 3 bottles wound up poured into the grass. I've only done this a couple other times this summer, after long mornings of swimming and excessive sunscreen - gave them a quick bath before going down for naps! But today they sweat up a storm like I've never seen and needed it!!
